CORE_OVERLOAD
A downloadable game for Windows
Enter the grid, a digital world overrun by hostile programs, and overload all of the enemy's cores to win control over the system!
CORE_OVERLOAD is a simple singleplayer RTS where you command units to gather resources, construct buildings, train combatants, and send armies to do battle in a digital world.
HOW TO PLAY
Build and command units, gather purple bits and yellow spikes, defend your base from enemy attacks and send out forces to clear the enemy out of the grid. The game ends when one team loses all of its cores. Destroy all of the enemy's cores while protecting your own to achieve victory!

Left Click Drag - Draws a box to select multiple units at once

Used an army of wizards to roll some outposts. Fun game!
This game is super nice. Real fun to fight and establish map control.
game just doen’t work properly! Why?
Hello minorUser! Could you give me some more info? I'd be happy to help figure out what's not working for you. Are you having trouble starting the game or are you encountering a bug while running it?
Every the first try to open the game after last time i opened the computer: game gets stuck in a blac full screen; gives this dialog window:
Fatal error: [File:D:/Build/++UE4/Sync/Engine/Source/Runtime/Windows/D3D11RHI/PrivateD3D11Util.cpp] [Line: 198] Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost (Error: )
the fullscreen window that does’t handle events; // i cannnot close it
nex try to open the game: gives (i guess same) error and starts the song;
the fullscreen window that does’t handle events; // i cannnot close it
nex try to open the game: gets stuck again and doesn’t play the song;
the fullscreen window that does’t handle events; // i cannnot close it
next try:
It starts the main (i mean it seems like it gets stuck in the firs iteration of game loop) screen and plays the song (probably becouse the song plays in anoughter theread than the game loop). gives this dialog box:
window is closed right after a press to ok or close in the dialog box;// usual windows error
the next few tries: same as second try;
Thanks for the very detailed bug report! I've looked into this issue and it seems to be Unreal Engine 4 having trouble communicating with your graphics card.
I've uploaded CORE_OVERLOAD_v1.1.zip, an updated version of the game, now updated to the most recent version of Unreal Engine 4, 4.27, in an attempt to fix this.
Hopefully this will fix issues, but if not, here are some options you can try to see if they help:
Unfortunately this seems to be an issue with Unreal Engine, and a little out of my scope for fixing beyond the tweaks I've made in v1.1, so hopefully this can fix the issues you are having!
WOAH! Neato game Jame. Love the aesthetic and the intro video.
